& found is the culmination

of the love of design

nostalgia for the past

and regard for sustainability

The desire to create beautiful and inviting spaces began at an early age. Having a limited budget taught me to be resourceful and thrifty in just how I was able to do that. And so began my affinity for “pre-loved” furnishings.

In my younger years, I associated used furnishings with frugality. After acquiring my bachelor’s degree in interior design and moving to New York City to work for design firms such as Sheila Bridges Design and most notably, Brockschmidt & Coleman, I began to truly embrace the exclusive world of refined antiques. Although I was able to appreciate the rarity and beauty of those costly items, there was always a part of me that felt that the thrill of the hunt was lost once the restriction on budget was lifted.

& found is the merging of both spectrums. The common denominator that all previously owned pieces share, no matter the cost, is the soul that they bring to a space. It can often be very subtle. It’s a uniqueness and individuality that cannot be replicated.

There is an abundance of beautiful pieces out there if you choose to see them.  The art of making use for what already exists marries perfectly with my passion for sustainability. In my opinion, finding the perfect vintage piece can be as exhilarating as falling in love.

I hope that you love what I’ve found.
